Tripi

Terms & Conditions

Version 1.5 · Last updated: 12 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the Tripi app and www.tripiapp.es. By creating an account or using Tripi you accept them; if you do not agree, do not use the service.

If language versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Who we are

Tripi is operated by Tripi Tech, S.L., Tax ID (NIF) B05754742, registered address Calle Mirlo, 1, 28250 Torrelodones (Madrid), Spain. Contact: info@tripiapp.es (general) and legal@tripiapp.es (privacy).

Single point of contact, for users and for Member State authorities, the Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Articles 11 and 12): info@tripiapp.es, in Spanish or English.

2. Minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to use Tripi. If you are 16 or 17, you confirm you have your parents’ or guardians’ authorisation where required.

3. Your account

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • One account per person; you are responsible for all activity under it.
  • Keep your credentials secret and tell us if you detect unauthorised use.

4. Licence to use Tripi

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on your devices. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent any part of the service, or reverse-engineer it except where the law expressly allows.

5. Your content

Everything you post (photos, blasts, spots, notes, trips) remains yours.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, technically transform (e.g. generate thumbnails) and display your content solely to operate the service, and only to the people you choose through your privacy settings.

This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, with two exceptions: the photos and reactions you contributed to shared Tripis, if when deleting your account you choose to leave them in the other members’ albums (without your name), and temporary backups (up to 30 days). A Tripi you delete can be restored for 30 days; after that it is deleted permanently.

You are responsible for the content you upload. If other people appear in your photos, it is up to you to have their permission; respect image rights.

6. Rules of conduct

When using Tripi you agree NOT to:

  • Post illegal, defamatory, hateful, pornographic or violent content.
  • Harass, intimidate or impersonate others.
  • Infringe third parties’ intellectual-property or image rights.
  • Send spam or make unauthorised commercial use of the service.
  • Access the service by automated means (scraping), probe or breach its security measures, or abuse its technical limits.
  • Introduce malware or harmful code.

7. Content moderation

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users: we may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break the law or these rules (section 6), with or without prior notice depending on the severity.

How to report: in the app, from the “···” menu of a blast, a tripi, a pin or a profile; and you can block a user from their profile. Anyone, with or without an account, can tell us about illegal content by writing to info@tripiapp.es and stating: (a) why they believe the content is illegal or breaks these rules; (b) where it is (username, tripi or link); (c) their name and email, except in cases of child sexual abuse; and (d) that they are acting in good faith and that what they report is accurate and complete. We will confirm we have received it.

How we review it: a person on our team reviews every report, normally within 24 hours, and decides without automated systems. In addition, when you post a name, a bio, a tripi’s title or description, a caption or a note, an automatic filter refuses texts that contain words from a list of insults and explicit sexual terms; we tell you at that moment so you can change it.

What we may do: remove the content, add a strike to the account and, if violations are repeated or serious, suspend the account. We explain every decision by notification and by email: what we removed, why (the rule broken and the facts) and how to appeal. The person who reported is told whether we took action.

How to appeal: reply to the decision email or write to info@tripiapp.es within 6 months explaining why you think we got it wrong; a person will review it again and we will get back to you. You can also go to court.

If we become aware of content suggesting a criminal offence that threatens someone’s life or safety, we will report it to the competent authorities without delay.

8. Privacy

The processing of your personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, available in the app and at www.tripiapp.es.

9. Third-party services and content

You can sign in with Apple or Google, and the app is distributed through the App Store. Maps come from Apple Maps, and city photos come from Wikimedia Commons, with their author and licence in Settings → Credits & licenses. These services belong to third parties and we are not responsible for them.

10. Tripi’s intellectual property

The app, the Tripi brand, its logo, design and software belong to us or are licensed to us. These terms transfer no rights to you beyond the usage licence in section 4.

11. Service availability and changes

Tripi is under active development: we may add, change or remove features for technical, security or legal reasons or to improve the service, and suspend it temporarily for maintenance. If a change affects you significantly for the worse, we will give you reasonable notice in advance, and you can delete your account if you disagree.

12. Warranties and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the absence of errors, and we are not liable for indirect damages. We recommend keeping a copy of your original photos (the app saves the photos you take with its camera to your gallery).

Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer law grants you or our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

13. Termination

You can stop using Tripi and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close your account for serious or repeated breaches of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law) remain in force.

14. Apple App Store

These terms are agreed between you and us, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for any claim related to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

15. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify you inside the app at least 15 days before they take effect, unless a change in the law requires it sooner. If you disagree, you can delete your account before that date; if you keep using Tripi afterwards, the new terms apply.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you act as a consumer in the European Union, you keep the protection of mandatory rules and the courts of your place of residence.
